Sincere thanks to our elder brothers. Five rovers who took the trouble to drive from Kuala Lumpur. Then walk 700 metres in the middle of the night arriving at 1.00 a.m. in camp and washed our clothes in the river.
Public speaking is presenting your thoughts and feelings in a meaningful way. Often the wrong perception that only people involved in sales, marketing or mass media need to learn public speaking is seen. However, the truth is that individuals from all walks of life have to speak in public at one time or the other. Seeing the importance of public speaking, 10th KL Rovers has taken the initiative to organise a public speaking course for all the Rover Crew members, Senior Troop Patrol Leader and all the young scouters. Before we proceed with more plannings, we would like to hear your response on this training program. The details will be as follows.
Date: 12 and 13 March 2011
Time: 9.00 a.m to 5.00 p.m with lunch and tea break in between
Venue: To be confirmed again but most probably would be in Hotel Malaya
Fees: Around RM50 per person covering the 2 days course, 1 tea break per day and a certificate
For your infomation, a public speaking course outside will cost you as much as few hundred RM. Before we make any further planning, please tell us how interested are you in this program. When this year in time shall end, let us be grateful for having a great year of scouting. In the same time, lets not forget to mourn for Goh Swee Khim from SMK(C) Hua Lian who passed away when attempting to test the aerial runway. It’s a great lost but let us make this a lesson for everyone to be careful during their scout activities. 10th KL Air Scout Group wishes every Scouts out there a Happy and Prosperous Rabbit year. May you have a safe and enjoyable scouting year ahead.
