About
How It Began
10th Kuala Lumpur Air Scouts Rover Crew was re-established in the year 2007 to provide scouting for students who have graduated from MBS, within the age of 18 to 26. Besides that, one important purpose of the Rover Crew is to ensure the continuity of scout training in the Scout Group by bringing back and training Rovers to contribute back to the Scout Group that we all hold dear.
To get things started, the Crew had their first Rover Vigil Camp in May 2007 and the first Rover Mate was elected during the camp.
Hence, our Rovering to Success began.
We have had 3 Rover Mates since the inception of the Crew:
- Au Yong Min Hao (2007/08)
- Tai Weinan (2008/09)
- Lee Voon Keong (2009 - now)
Objectives
In the year 2009, the Rover Council under the leadership of Lee Voon Keong had come up with 5 important objectives for the Rover Crew to achieve in the year 2009:
- To increase the overall active members by 50% by 31st December 2009.
- To have at least once major outing every two months.
- To get our former scouts to come back once a month to enhance our scout trainings for the Boy Scouts, Senior Scouts and Rover Crew.
- To upgrade and refurbish our Rover Room.
- To organize a campfire which includes the Zulu Dance and the Maori War Dance, together with the Seniors.
